SILK SATIN

Fabric Style:

The word Shantung comes from Shantung province in China.  This fabric is a heavy weight, plain weave fabric, characterized by a ribbed silk look alike effect, resulting from stubbed yards used in the filling direction.  Custom made table linens aiming for a silk look is a definitely advisable in comparison to non washable Silks.  This fabric is 100% Polyester washable

Cleaning Instructions:

On The Go Linens always suggest prewashing the linens before use.  The Golden Rule to this suggest when you prewash fabrics, be consistent.  For example, either prewash all your fabrics, or don’t prewash at all.

Silk Satin is machine washable.  Wash on cool, gentle, no bleach.  This satin should be cleaned in a tumble type washer on a cool, gentle cycle.

We always suggest dry cleaning to preserve fabric lifecycle.
